Susan speaks (for a change):I learned about suminagashi at a bookmaking meeting. I already had black sumi ink and I bought Photo-flo but buying more paper in our house is like carrying coals to Newcastle. So I made do with what I had instead of using rice paper and therefore my results were poor. Except for when I grabbed a sheet of graph paper. I love graph paper.
And of course I had to fiddle with it in Photoshop. Or, as I've been told, it's called "Pimp My Photo."
