For 32 years I had another life. This is how it was for me every day.
Now I make art. Don't waste your time asking me if I'm happy now.
You ask: What is it? I reply: What do you want it to be? You ask: What does it mean? I reply: What do you want it to mean?

I often wonder where I would be now if only I had made a career out of art earlier. I hated working in an office environment even though I worked with beautiful books in a university library. Most of the time I felt just like your clay sculpture.
I know exactly what you mean! What a great way to capture that feeling. I'm still looking for my peace ...
I too had a realisation that doing my art is the only path to my true happiness. I still work an office job but once I am out that door I am doing my thing. The sculpture sums it up.
Don...what a poignant piece!!!
So many of us have put our artistic passions on the back burner, for so many different reasons, mainly due to necessity.
How truly wonderful you have got here...here's to living an artful life!
Great piece, which goes so well with your personal story.
This is how I felt inside before I made the decision to do what I do now.
